Delicious just got GREAT
Here's a great announcement from the delicious blog...
Internet Explorer and del.icio.us
"Today, I’m happy to announce an early beta release of an Internet Explorer version of our del.icio.us bookmarks extension. For the first time our Internet Explorer users will enjoy most of the best features of our new Firefox extension. We’re very excited about this release, as we have many users who use Internet Explorer as their primary browser. Since there are some differences between Internet Explorer and Firefox, the two versions are not exactly the same, but you’ll find many of the same great features like the del.icio.us Sidebar and Toolbar."
I've always been a fan of delicious but until now have not been able to simply and easily retire my browser favourites and bookmarks bar. As of today, I can now do that. Rejoice. I will install the delicious add-on / extension to all my Firefox and IE7 browsers across all my computers which makes me free of links in any individual browser. Beautiful.
The IE7 add-on is a little buggy with the odd duplicate bookmark appearing but nothing disastrous that I've found so far. Here's a link to the Firefox 3 extension (which is also compatible with Firefox 2).
